24 Season 8: Jack Bauer's Leather Bag Information

Alright, I went so far as to actually contact the good people who work on "24" but they were not forthcoming with information on Jack's fancy brown leather sack. But that can't stop us! By miracle of the internet (and actually help from Shane, an astute and very helpful reader of this site) I present to you THE SEASON 8 JACK SACK:

The bag is made by Ralph Lauren. It is called the Double RL (RRL) Leather Mail Bag. It retails for $895.

I haven't found a merchant link for it, it looks like it was released in 2009 and is probably not a part of the current collection. You can try your luck at RL outlets or through 3rd party sellers. Let me know if you find a place that sells it and I will share that information with everyone else in a front-page article.

So, if anyone from the show is reading this, no need to get back to me, we're okay. ;)

Whew, I'm a fan but NOT an $895 fan. Good detective work Adam.

Holy...Mother of Pearl that is expensive.

And yeah, kudos on the almost stalker-ish level of confidence, resourcefulness, and determination you displayed in your investigation. ;)

Awesome sleuthing on your part Adam. You must have top level security clearance to get that type of info. I'm thinking you might have an in with Chloe. We're not worthy.

Thanks gang, I tip my hat to Shane for emailing me the big break in the case. Yeah... $900 for a bag? As Austin Powers once said "That's not my bag, baby!"

Alright, I hate myself for making that joke... :P

http://oneninesixseven.com/?p=71 - Early 2009. Great work on getting the find though - now it's just a matter of someone selling it on ebay. I reckon it would fetch a fair penny :)

Someone has it posted on ebay right now actually. Might be filing my tax return early this year and snatching this up... I really liked from the first time I saw it in the promo pictures this summer.

Yeah, I am sticking with my $30 (now) retro Jack Sack. Functional, dependable, and I don't freak if it takes a little wear-and-tear.

Jack's items are really starting to pop up now:

Looks pretty sweet and a heck of a lot cheaper than the RRL bag. I love the bag, but i'm not fond of the price.

That's really gorgeous. But freakin' expensive. Love it.

Your welcome guys! After finding the info on this bag, I managed to grab one for myself. It's one of the best decisions i've made. It may be expensive, but it'll last you the rest of your life and you'll absolutely love the bag. Everyone should definitely grab it if they can!

dude shane where did you find it?? been checking ebay and everywhere, nothing...

They are only available in Ralph Lauren stores that sell the RRL line of clothing. Chances are that they'll have only one or two bags available at the most. They are made in very small numbers. Just call some RL stores listed on their website and ask for the bag. You should find one in no time!
