Yeah, how can you not smile whenever you see the Stay Puft Marshmallow man?

Thank you for supporting the countdown. Have fun tonight and come back with your reaction to the premiere.

OK, let's talk.

Rickey loved the fire-ax trick in the stairwell. One minute, a bad guy is racing up the stairs, he turns and sees the empty fire-ax holder, wonders to himself: "hey, why's that thing empty? oh yeah, THATS WHY! AUGH, DOWN I GO!"

Good times.

The bad? Pretty much the whole scene with the stereotypical Queens family. And we have yet more of this to look forward to.

Also, what was up with Jack dropping the President's name twice to gain sway with the head of CTU? Seems like kind of a bitchy move. Granted, the director or CTU is a complete weasel and appears to enjoy middle managing the set of "2001" so Rickey guesses that Jacks gotta do what he's gotta do.

And since when does CTU set up its headquarters at the end of white tiled tunnels? Don't the car exhaust fumes make the computer geeks pass out after a while?

Kind of an underwhelming kickoff really. Very meh. The NYC seen here is far too stereotypical to be even remotely entertaining. But hey, they're obviously not marketing this show to people who would point that out...

Rickey, see my newest post but we're generally on the same page.

Oh come on, it was Jack, Dammit! I love the melodrama so much and find it as funny as it is exciting. Jack was a very bad fellow, however, when he avoided Cloe's plea for him to finally help her after all the times she had helped him. He should not have needed Kim to convince him. He should have immediately agreed to help. I can't wait for tomorrow night.

Oh and yes Rickey, I too loved the fire axe!

Yeah the Kim scene annoyed me because she's basically saying "Dude, you're Jack Bauer" and Jack is slow to understand that fact.

I didn't dislike the premiere, I'm just not flipping out yet- yet!!!!!
