Thank God for original thinkers like Lucas who can bring such good stuff to the screen. I've known George since I was 9 years old andhe is a terrific person. I can remember going to see Star Wars when I was a teenager, sitting through it five or six times and jsut being in awe. Great stuff.
Wow, you actually know George Lucas? That's extremely cool.A little personal history re: me and Star Wars-- I was born three days after the film's release. My mother went to see the movie opening night, while I was still in the oven. I guess I was so excited by what I was hearing that I pushed my way out of the womb so I could see the movie myself ASAP!For anyone that knows me personally, they can sum me up as being a 1) cranky bastard, 2) an aggressive driver and 3) a Star Wars fan. I'm going to pop in the movie right now to celebrate the anniversary. And glockspeak, if you still talk to George nowadays, thank him for me.
It cannot be 30 yrs! But it is. That movie changed movies in so many ways. The Empire Strikes Back is my favorite of the original trilogy, but major kudos to the one that started them all."May the force with be with you."
A very happy birthday to you, Adam!Big kiss!
